PTRC Staff

The staff at the PTRC continues to push the boundaries of innovation and technology in the oil and gas industry ― at home and around the world.

Malcolm Wilson, Ph. D., P. Geol., Chief Executive Officer
Malcolm Wilson is Executive Director of the PTRC, and was formerly the Director of the Office of Energy and Environment at the University of Regina. He has extensive experience in CO2 storage development, and was involved in the initiation of the IEA GHG Weyburn-Midale CO2 Monitoring and Storage Project, including editing the final report of phase I. Malcolm was a member of Working Group III of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) team of scientists that were awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize and lead author on the IPCC Special Report on Carbon Dioxide Capture and Storage. In 2008, he participated in the development of the International Performance Assessment Centre for Geologic Storage of Carbon Dioxide (IPAC-CO2), an independent organization that addresses the growing demand for expertise in sub-surface reservoirs for the geological storage of CO2.

Haley Solie, Administrative Assistant
Haley Solie is the Administrative Assistant for the Project Team.  She received a diploma in office administration and comes to the PTRC with seven years of administrative experience. Contact Haley at 306.787.4334

Kyle Worth, P. Eng., Project Engineer, JIVE and Aquistore Projects
Kyle Worth is the Project Engineer for Aquistore and the Joint Implementation Vapour Extraction project. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Regina in 2001.

Jolene Goulden, Communications Coordinator
Jolene comes to the PTRC from the Saskatchewan Communications Network, where she acted in a communications capacity.  She manages the PTRC's tour request process, and assists in other communications activities such as news releases, displays, and conferences. She may be reached at 306.787.1113.

Norm Sacuta, M.A., M.F.A., Communications Manager
Norm Sacuta comes to the PTRC after seven years as communications officer at the National Centre for Upgrading Technology, located at the CANMET Energy Technology Centre in Devon. He has eight years experience with technical editing and writing, and communications in the fields of heavy oil and oil sands research. He has a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and a Master of Arts in English from the University of Alberta. His poetry collection, Garments of the Known, was published by Nightwood Editions in 2001. Contact Norm at 306.787.7497
